Those of us following the Memories Pizza story won't have trouble remembering it as the years go by, thanks only partially to the Walkerton, Indiana store's fairly unusual name for a pizzeria. What will also easy to recall are the "memories" of the unhinged and threatening leftist behavior that accompanied its owner's simple statement that, if the request ever arose, they would have to turn down catering a same-sex "marriage" because participating in or supporting such a ceremony violates their firm Christian religious beliefs — and the press's attempts to cover up what their journalistic malfeasance unleashed.

On his “sports” talk show Thursday, ESPN’s Keith Olbermann made clear that he thinks Indiana’s amendment to its controversial religious freedom act doesn’t go far enough, saying that while it obviously will not happen, he still wants the Final Four out of Indianapolis as punishment for Indiana lawmakers’ attempt to discriminate against the LGBT community by protecting the religious liberty of the state’s citizens.

NCAA President Threatens Indiana

Submitted 10 years ago by ActRight Community

On Thursday, NCAA president Mark Emmert openly threatened the state of Indiana, swaggering that he would recommend the NCAA, whose headquarters are in Indianapolis, move from any area "that didn't prohibit discrimination." Emmert has been fulminating against the state’s Religious Freedom Restoration Act, which Gov. Mike Pence of Indiana signed last week.

Recently, a representative from the Hillary Clinton camp delivered a message to Martin O'Malley, the former Maryland governor preparing to challenge Clinton for the 2016 Democratic nomination. I have some good news and some bad news, the messenger said. What's the good news? asked O'Malley. The good news is we're taking you seriously, the messenger answered. And the bad news is … we're taking you seriously. RELATED: Martin O'Malley to make presidential decision in spring, blasts Hillary The undertone of threat was unmistakable, but anyone who takes on Clintonworld has to expect that. And indeed, pro-O'Malley Democrats — there are some — are not at all surprised by the tone. They are the most petty, vengeful people out there, says one Democrat of the Clinton organization. They hold a grudge for decades. I don't think he [O'Malley] expected them to welcome him with a fruit basket.

PENN JILLETTE, LIBERTARIAN COMMENTATOR, MAGICIAN: I don't want to misrepresent myself as an expert, but there is more to gay sex than cake and flowers. These people are not being asked to engage in gay sex or even endorse gay sex, they're being asked to sell flowers and cake to people, and that is hypothetical. And I'm a libertarian and an atheist so I am fighting myself on this, and I don't like the government involved in telling the people what to do and I certainly want the people to have religious freedom, because the only way that people who don't have religion and have freedom is for people who do have religion have freedom. But all in the same way, we have to make sure that we don't get too crazy in the hypotheticals, and we are not talking about forcing people to engage in gay sex or even endorse gay sex. We are asking them that maybe they can treat people the same as other people, and that does not seem unreasonable. It is okay, I suppose, although goofy to be against gays, but it is not okay to be against people who simply want to use your services as a business. I mean the free market should take care of this faster than anything.

In a piece for Bloomberg Wednesday, David Weigel warned Democrats that they’d better be more cautious about coming out so blatantly against religious freedom legislation. Pointing to recent polling showing a majority of voters siding far more with defenders of religious freedom than LGBT activists, Weigel warned Dems that they might be “playing a losing game.”
