It took Bibi Netanyahu almost a week to apologize properly for his inflammatory comment on Israelâs election day about Arab voters âheading to the polls in droves.â But even after four and a half years, there has been no apology from Barack Obama for his inflammatory remarks just before the 2010 election, when he exhorted Latinos to generate an âupsurge in votingâ in order to âpunish our enemies and . . . reward our friends.â Under normal circumstances, there would be no reason to link these episodes. But the White House pointedly reproached Netanyahu for his distasteful words. âThis administration is deeply concerned by divisive rhetoric that seeks to marginalize Arab-Israeli citizens,â Obama spokesman Josh Earnest told reporters the day after the election. The president himself declared in an interview that Netanyahuâs ârhetoric was contrary to what is the best of Israelâs traditions,â and warned that it âstarts to erode the meaning of democracy in the country.â Fair enough â except for Obamaâs egregious failure to meet his own standard.

Reporters refuse Obama's dismissal from golf course, are sent to the 'shed' | WashingtonExaminer.com
In its latest attempt to shut down media coverage, the White House Saturday dismissed reporters to their Florida hotel by declaring a news lid even though President Obama was just beginning his golf game â but the press pool voted to stay.
After a two hour flight, Obama motorcaded to the posh Floridian National Golf Club in Palm City to play a round and also stay.
At that point, the pool reporter, Byron Tau of the Wall Street Journal, wrote in his report to other correspondents, The White House has called a lid. Pool does not anticipate news or POTUS sightings until tomorrow's departure of Air Force One.
