House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte is blaming the Obama administration's lax immigration policies for the rape of a 14-year-old girl at a high school outside Washington last week. The Virginia Republican made the accusation in a letter to Homeland Security Sec. John Kelly on Wednesday. Once again, we have an example of how the Obama administration's lax immigration enforcement policies resulted in a life being seriously harmed – in this case, the life of an innocent 14 year-old-girl who was simply attending school, Goodlatte wrote. There is no doubt that such heinous crimes by illegal immigrants who were encountered by the Obama administration, not removed by the Obama administration, and instead actually set free in American communities by the Obama Administration, will continue to occur until sufficient enforcement has occurred.

Host of Fox News Channel's 'The First 100 Days' Martha McCallum speaks to the mother of a Rockville, MD high school freshman who was raped by two 17-18 year old illegal immigrants inside the school. Fox News Channel reports: The parent of a Maryland high school student said Tuesday she was "absolutely shocked" over an alleged rape of another student by two immigrants, at one here illegally, and that parents want to make sure how to prevent "these situations" in the future. Kimberly Allman told Fox News' Martha MacCallum on "The First 100 Days" while she was troubled by the alleged rape of a 14-year-old girl in the restroom at Rockville High School by the two male students, but was encouraged by what Republican Gov. Larry Hogan had to say. "Governor Hogan used words that I want to hear," she said. "He used the word illegal immigrants. He wanted to know why these men were here with our children." The horrific attack last Thursday was allegedly carried out by an illegal immigrant, 18, and another 17-year-old student who were enrolled in the ninth grade. District officials have said it is common for that school system to have adults with limited English speaking skills enrolled as freshman. Allman said Hogan's response was better than the "washed down language we heard from the last administration." Read more...

On Wednesday afternoon, Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) dropped a quasi-bombshell when he announced that the Obama administration intelligence community had “incidentally” collected information on members of the Trump transition team; this lead Trump’s allies to wildly overstate Trump’s case, echoing Trump’s suggestion that Obama did indeed wiretap Trump.

A moment of levity snuck into Tuesday's confirmation hearing for Neil Gorsuch, President Trump's nominee for the Supreme Court, when a Republican senator brought up a beloved science fiction comedy The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, asked Gorsuch, what is the answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe and everything? — a topic which Cruz said Gorsuch has some familiarity. Gorsuch's answer was 42. The question is a reference to the Hitchhiker's Guide, in which a supercomputer built by aliens spends 7.5 million years contemplating the answer to that question. While the computer, known as Deep Thought, comes up with an answer — 42 — it never learned what the actual question was.
