Ogden Police informed the public Wednesday about an attempted kidnapping that took place in Ogden on Tuesday. Police said 41-year-old Ira Cox-Berry approached and grabbed an 11-year-old girl while she was playing on the playground of a local elementary school. Cox-Berry pulled the child away as if he had the intention to walk away with her. According to police, a school employee located nearby confronted Cox-Berry and ordered him to leave the premises.
