Preserving Marriage is not just about husbands and wives, but about the incredible importance of both mothers and fathers in the upbringing of the next generation.

Children have a right to know and be known by their biological parents. 

One of marriage's key purposes is to attach fathers to their children and the mother.  In many ways today's culture tries to make us believe that fathers are optional.

Millennia of history and recent decades of social science prove this idea of optional fatherhood to be a myth at best and a destructive lie at worst.

Children need their fathers.

As Washington votes to Preserve Marriage this fall, they also will be voting to preserve the importance of father's in the upbringing of their children and the next generation.
